St. Matthew Church Music Ministry
We minister to our parishioners and community through our music, and to one another through our presence at rehearsals and Mass, mutual prayer and concern, and celebrating life’s milestones together.
Adults and youth grade 9 and up can ring handbells monthly at 11:00 AM Sunday Mass from September into June. We rehearse weekly on Thursdays September through June from 6:30–7:15 PM in the balcony at the rear of the nave. No experience is necessary.
Adults and youth grade 9 and up can sing weekly at 9:00 AM Sunday Mass from September into June. We rehearse weekly on Thursdays from 7:30–9:00 PM in the choir area of the main church and gather for warmup Sundays at 8:30 AM. If you enjoy singing the hymns and liturgy at Mass and can carry a tune, you are fully qualified.
Youth and adults who have played an instrument for at least 2 years can ask about offering their talents at worship as well. We will make every effort to accommodate your schedules.
You already contribute generously to our parish through your envelopes. We invite you to discover your musical ability and offer it to the glory of God.
