Volunteer to Light the Advent Wreath!

he Advent Wreath Lighting Ceremony is a beautiful parish tradition at St. Matthew Church that marks our journey toward the birth of Christ. Each week, a new candle is lit at the beginning of Mass to symbolize the growing light of Christ coming into the world.

We invite parishioners, couples, and families to participate by leading the Advent prayer and lighting the wreath candles at our weekend Masses.

Sign-up sheets for all four weeks of Advent are available now in the church vestibule, or you can call the parish office to reserve a Mass time.

Please consider helping us lead our community in this special seasonal tradition!
